Is a metal roof noisy in the rain?
Over solid roof decking and underlayment, as on most houses, rain noise indoors is usually close to that of other roofs. Open-framed structures like sheds are the loud ones.
How does metal handle moss and needles?
Its smooth surface sheds water, needles and debris quickly, so moss has little to hold on to. Valleys and gutters under trees still need clearing.
Is metal worth the higher price?
